Lenovo's SC18 booth in Dallas: a nine-panel seamless wall on a multi-output media server, three wireless kits for the theater sessions, seventeen machines across the demo pods, and the lighting that moves the hexagon canopy from blue to magenta.
Lenovo’s booth at Supercomputing 2018 ran its theater on a nine-panel NEC seamless wall fed by a multi-output media server, with four Meyer MM4s on a mixer and three Shure wireless kits with Countryman mics, enough that a presenter handoff never cost the room a pause. Nine ThinkCentre Tinys, five X1 Carbons and three W540s drove the demo pods and the back wall, two 32-inch monitors sat on table stands, and two 55-inch monitors went up on wall mounts once the booth was standing.
The lighting was ours as well, console and technician both, which is why the canopy is blue in one photo and magenta in the next. A technician stayed with the booth for the full eight days with an assist on the install and the dismantle, and the switching, routers and access points underneath were ours too.
